Last year’s KIPs (Knit In Progress) crossed over to this year. I had to temporarily drop them from my project list due to a more exciting knit, Falling Leaves top, that I wanted to test-knit for another blogger. See here. The recipient to the Red Falling Leaves dress(?) is someone who’s birthday falls at the end of March. (You know who you are.)
Here’s a peek.

Can you guess them?

If you look closely, you’d see I only knit with circular needles. I don’t like straight needles and even more so, hate doubled-pointed needles.
Anyway, The green sleeve-looking thing is a shrug, the same pattern as the red shrug that I gave to my Flamenco teacher. I need to revise or embellish this pattern slightly different from the original one. Now, if you see ‘green’, that means it’s mine.
The lovely purplish glob you see above the green glob is a cowl-neck short-sleeved top meant for someone who’s birthday is coming in late April. It didn’t make it as a Christmas present. Sorry!
I have a couple more KIPs on the needle. And I’m really psyching myself to seriously consider my own deadlines. I can do it for others, but not for myself.
Let me show you the felt project I made a few years ago. My intention was to sell it. But the result of the felting wasn’t much to be desired, so I put it away. I was told that white or off-white wool (100% wool) does not felt well. Great to know but too late for the project.
Then recently, I discovered it again as I was rummaging in my stash. It hit me to use it to carry my KIPs. It’s really a lovely combo of colors, don’t you think?
